Sony PSP – the portable play station became a phenomenal hit in the market soon after its release. The reason for it was that it offered the same thrill and excitement like any other gaming console, but only made it portable and more compact. So, gamers could now carry their favourite device anywhere and everywhere. At this time, a good memory space becomes an important factor. Therefore, Sony bundled the device with 1GB memory stick Pro Duo Card, to add more storage power. So the gamers are now ready to download as many games as possible. The new package that includes a Sony PSP, a 1GB memory card and an all new PSP stand, is collectively known as Giga Pack.

This Giga Pack or PSP-1000G1, made its debut in Japan. After getting a stupendous response at home, the device made its global launch, starting from America and Canada.
